We are a Royal Yachting Association Training Centre and offer a range of courses leading to internationally recognised RYA certificates.
Alternatively we can arrange tuition to suit you - it could be a half-day taster session for your first time out on a windsurfer or a chance to update your skills.
 Windsurfing Taster/ Refresher- Come and have a go at windsurfing or brush up your skills.
Start Windsurfing – This is a great course for beginners. (Min 2 day course)
Intermediate Windsurfing – Improve on your windsurfing skills. (Min 2 day course)
Youth Scheme (Stage 1 – Stage 4) – Fun courses for people age 14 years and younger.
Prices
RYA 2 Day Course - £175 per person (minimum 2 people)
RYA 5 Day Course - £370 per person (minimum 2 people)
½ day Windsurfing Taster or Refresher - £60 per person (minimum 2 people)
There is a discount for three or more people who book on a course together.
Courses run from Easter to October - contact us for dates and availability. If there are 2 of you we can usually put on a course at a time to suit you.
Are you looking to get Qualified?
If your over 16, Working/Volunteering in outdoor education or sport in Cumbria or Lancashire, you may qualify for up to £250 towards fees for a variety of outdoor and sports qualifications. You will be required to deliver a minimum of 15hrs volunteering in return for this support. Full details are available at www.cumbria.ac.uk/getqualified
Windsurfing Equipment at Derwent Water Marina
Hifly Revos, Premos, Mambos and Magnums with a choice of Sails from Junior rigs to 6.3 meter rigs
We also have a wide range of both steamer and long john wetsuits, bouyancy aids and spraytops but you will need to bring footwear such as wetsuit boots or old training shoes.
