Q: What clothing do I need to bring for activity sessions?
A:We can provide all necessary technical equipment however the following will be useful:
-Swimming costume/shorts to wear under wetsuit (for Ghyll scrambling-an old pair of shorts/trousers to wear over your wetsuit)
-Towel
-A full change of warm clothes
-Old trainers
-Woolly hat in spring and autumn
-Peaked hat, sun glasses and sun cream in spring and summer
Q: What are the check in/out times for the self catering apartments?
A: The apartment will be available from 4.00pm on the afternoon of your arrival and we would request that you vacate by 10.00am on the day of departure.
If you are arriving outside office hours (9:00 until 5:30) please let us know and we will arrange to leave a key for you. (Please note that our office hours in the winter are 10:00 until 4:00)
Q: Are you AALA approved?
A: Yes we are licensed by the Adventurous Activity Licensing Authority - Licence No L6109/R0478.
Q: Do you offer motor boat hire?
A: We do not have motor boats for hire at Derwent Water Marina. You can hire motor boats at The Keswick Launch Company Tel. 017687 72263
Q: Do the launches depart from Derwent Water Marina?
A: The Launches do not go from the Marina. The nearest stop is at Nichol End, a few hundred metres down the road.
