1) Derwent Water Sailing Club meets throughout the season for races, usually on Sundays. Newcomers will receive a warm welcome! All berth holders are invited to enter as many or few races as you wish – any of the ‘old hands’ would be delighted to give you any assistance possible, take you out in their boats to give you an idea of the courses, how to start finish etc, or accompany you in your boat to show you the ropes. Racing is fun and we DO NOT hold races when there is any likelihood of difficult conditions.
Race Results
Spring Series - Due to weather conditions and low water level only one race has been sailed so far.
May 2nd Course 8 was sailed in moderate winds the two competing boats were Avalon and Vigilante with Avalon taking an early lead, but being overtake by Vigilante who maintained the lead to the end.
