Our Hawk 20 Sailing Taster Sessions provide the perfect opportunity to come and have a go, without having to commit to a 2-day course. It might be something you have always fancied, but not had the confidence to try and see if it is for you. Maybe you have not sailed for a while and just need some help getting back get out on the water. Our Hawk 20 sessions can take up to 6 people in a boat. This is our most stable boat, really well suited for people who are less mobile or for those wanting the bigger boat experience.
Whatever your reason, our taster sessions will give you the basic skills you will need if you decide to go on and book a RYA Course.

- Minimum Age 12 years: All under 16’s must be accompanied by a participating adult
- No previous experience required but a reasonable level of fitness and mobility required
- Wetsuits provided, please bring wetsuit shoes or old trainers
- Changing rooms and showers available (£1 coin required for a hot shower)
- Parking is available for the duration of your session
- Arrive at least 20 mins before your booking time
- Sessions will only be cancelled in the event of extreme weather conditions (Please note – rain is not an extreme weather condition)
If you are unable to join any of our pre-set group session dates, please contact us or complete the Booking Enquiry form. Enter the dates in the comments box that you are interested in coming and we will let you know if additional sessions become available.
Booking Terms and Conditions
- Full payment required at time of booking.
- Bookings are non-refundable once made.
- If the minimum number of participates is not met, we reserve the right to cancel, offer an alternative date or run it as a private session (additional cost for this).
- If we cancel the session all monies will be refunded.
- Participants must be a minimum of 12 years old. Under 16’s must be accompanied by a participating adult.
- Health declaration forms must be completed and returned before attending the session.
Private Groups
