We look forward to welcoming you to Derwent Water Marina to get on the lake. We have sit on top kayaks (single & double), paddleboards, sit in kayaks (double), canoes & pedalos.
Max capacity assumes an average sized adult – in some craft it is possible to substitute 2 children for 1 adult (e.g the 4 adults in a pedalo could be changed for 3 adults & 2 children). Please contact us for more information.
Your hire includes free use of the car park during your hire, buoyancy aids & the craft that you have booked.
How to book
The quickest & easiest way is to book and pay online (you can book up to 8 weeks ahead & up to 12 hours before) – our online booking site is open from Easter to the end of October.
If you can’t see the combination of craft / times that you want please ring us on 01768772912 to discuss the options (at busy times it can be difficult to get through – please keep trying).
The ongoing restrictions due to COVID-19 mean that we have had to make a number of changes in the way we operate:
You should follow all government guidance regarding social distancing / meeting people & face coverings.
Please book and pay for your hire in advance – this allows us to manage the number of people on site.
We are only taking advance bookings for 2 or 3 hour slots – if we are not busy on the day 1 hour slots will be made available.
All our equipment is sprayed down with dilute Milton between hires (wetsuits only available for paddleboard hire)
There are toilets available but the changing rooms remain closed.
Derwent Water is a great lake to explore by boat, offering fantastic views in every direction.
- Why not take a picnic and explore one of the islands?
- Normally Hire is available from 10 am and all craft must be returned by 5 30pm. (Note this will change during the year)
All prices below are per boat
