Go Canoeing
Our Canadian canoes offer an idyllic mode of lake transport, especially for family groups. No matter what your ability or experience, we have something for you. Hire a canoe and take a picnic and explore one of the islands or if you want to learn some basics before going it alone join one of our Group Taster Sessions. You can also develop your skills on one of our courses to work through your British Canoe Paddle Awards.
Taster Sessions
This summer join us for some fun and adventure on one of our group ‘Taster’ sessions with a qualified canoeing instructor. Whether you are on holiday or live locally and have always wanted to ‘give it a go’ our taster sessions will give you all the basics you need to get out on the water safely and confidently. Book on your own or with a group of friends and you will learn new skills whilst hopefully having loads of fun in the process.

We have range of high-quality craft and buoyancy aids which are included in the price. Changing rooms and parking also available for all our customers. Please bring footwear such as wetsuit boots or old trainers as our shorelines are stoney.
Private Groups
Looking for a group activity for the family, a birthday, hen or stag group or perhaps a workday out? Why not book a Canoeing Taster Session just for your group. Please complete the enquiry form and select ‘Private Group Session’ from the drop down. Enter the details of your group and your preferred date(s) and we will check availability and get back to you with a quote.
Hire a Canoe

Why not take a picnic and explore one of the islands. You can choose to book a 2/3 person canoe or one of our family canoes that can take up to 4 people.

The hire season starts on 29th March (Good Friday) and sessions are available everyday through to 31st October. Advanced booking is recommended, especially at weekends and during school holidays.
Improve your Paddling Skills
When starting your paddlesport journey, no matter what craft you use, there are a range of courses on offer to support the development of your skills. Courses are open to all ages and great for individuals, families and groups wanting to improve their skills and feel confident on the water.

Paddle Sport Awards
As a British Canoeing Partner our courses follow the British Canoeing Start and Discover Awards in Canoeing, Kayaking and Paddle Boarding.
Start Award
The Start Award is exactly what it says on the tin, it’s a place to start your paddling journey. If you’re brand new to paddling and really want to learn the basics to get started, then this is the course for you! You’ll cover everything from getting in and out of the boat or on and off your board, what you need to wear and some useful paddling skills.
Discover Award
This allows you to develop your decision making and practical skills for a fun and safe time on the water, as you become a more skilled and independent paddler. Through this award, you will learn how to choose and effectively use equipment, whilst developing an understanding of the factors which affect your paddling.
